IOTW| Peach & Emerald Look 1

Hey, there!!

I'm back with another fashion illustration. I don't really have a source of inspiration for this illustration; I was just going with the flow. I did have in mind that I wanted to create a few looks that consisted of the colors peach and emerald. I figured that with a color as light as peach, the boldness of the emerald would really stand out and also bring balance to the composition.

I also knew that I wanted to do a mermaid dress, but one that wasn't so dramatic. As far as my original idea for this illustration goes, I initially was going to have it be a simple strapless dress with princess seams. However, I decided to add beaded straps to the design to make it even more elegant. Evident in the illustration below, the mermaid portion of the dress is transparent, though I think I should have made it more transparent.

I completed the look with some accessories such as the bracelet, earrings, choker and beaded headdress. The headdress idea didn't hit me until I thought I was finished with the illustration. I wanted to try something different than what I normally would do, so I figured that a crown or headdress would bring the elegance up another notch.
