Hey, there!!
Since the last time I have met up with Cherrish, I made a muslin sample of my pencil skirt. I noticed some things seemed a little off, so today I tried it on and she helped me with the fitting issues. The major issue was the fact that the pencil skirt looked more like a straight skirt and flared out from the hip instead of being tapered to the legs. Cherrish marked where I needed to take in so that the skirt would look how I plan for it to.
For her upcoming collection, Cherrish said that she wanted to make a mood board, but wasn't really sure as to how she should go about doing that. I'm glad she asked for my assistance because I have had the pleasure of making a few mood boards during my undergrad in college as well as one during my internship a few years ago. I really like making mood boards because there technically is no right or wrong way to do them, which leaves no limit on the level of creativity and fun you can have while making it!!
Cherrish wondered what resources or sources of inspiration she could use to make her mood board. We both figured Pinterest was a great place to start; who doesn't love Pinterest? I also told Cherrish that she may want to look into using Polyvore, where you can use images they have on hand (or clip an image you like from the Internet) and create a collage of inspiration for her collection.
I can't wait to see what we come up with for her mood board!!
