Hey, there!!
I am back with the illustration of the week!! I know it has been a while since I have done some women's wear illustration, so that is why I chose to share one with you all for this week. In the next few weeks to come, I will probably post more illustrations of women's wear, only because that is more of my forte. I do enjoy illustrating menswear, but I am not experienced enough with menswear to really create some top-notch and captivating illustrations for men's designs.
Anyway, the illustration I did for this week is of a coat dress. I have always been a fan of shirt dresses and coat dresses, as they are casual pieces that every woman should have in their closet!! I love the military-like styles that shirt dresses and coat dresses possess (being one of three daughters of parents who met in the Air Force may have something to do with this, lol). I wanted to make this design a little different by having the front panel extend a bit further than the remaining hem of the coat dress. And the pop of purple in the panel between the princess seams provides a unique element, in my opinion, as well.
Please feel free to leave a comment below and let me know what you all think!! Also, don't forget to check out my design Instagram page for more of my creations!!
