Hey, there!!
I apologize for the lack of posts, everyone. I am currently finishing up my last week of grad school and have been busy. I cannot believe that I will be getting my Masters in business administration and will no longer have to stay up studying and writing papers!! Yaaaayyyy!! I also have been preparing to get back on YouTube again. Lately I've been trying to figure out where in my house I can record videos. And I haven't really decided on what videos I want to do next for my fashion channel, but I'm sure I'll figure something out soon.
Anyways, I am not sure if I have mentioned this before, but I have always wanted to try my hand at menswear. I only ever illustrate/sketch women's wear or accessories, but when I become a designer, I want to also create menswear, so that's what I have been sketching as of late. This is very new to me, and I see that I approach the design process in a different way, as menswear is obviously different from women's wear.
This illustration includes a long-sleeve crew-neck shirt that has a panel of fabric of a different color and type on the right side (from our view). That panel of fabric is supposed to represent a seersucker of sorts. The panel of seersucker is also incorporated into the hem of the shorts as well. As you can see, I also played with style lines in this design, as shown in the shirt and the hem of the shorts. I always try to do something new and different when I create my designs.
Let me know what you all think, and don't forget to check out my design Instagram page for more of my creations!!
