Hey, there!!
Just as I have done so for the 2015 New York Fashion Week, I want to share my list of my top 3 favorite menswear collections for Fall 2016. Again, I want to mention that I do not own any of these pictures in the slideshows of this post. I found the images on sites such as Vogue that keep track of NYFW.
My third favorite Fall 2016 Menswear collections is.......Brett Johnson!!
Brett Johnson's collection may seem simple to anyone, but I found it quite interesting. I love the choice of earth-tones with pops of contrasting color here and there in the collection. Also, I like how the jackets and coats are paired with slacks with cargo pockets. The pockets on the coats gave many of the looks sophistication. However, there were looks that were more casual, such as having long-sleeve shirts, which added to the diversity of the collection.
My second favorite menswear collection for Fall 2016 is.......Ralph Lauren!!
Ralph Lauren's collection started out with a light palette of colors in the beginning, as many of the looks consisted of white, tan, or brown coats, sweaters, and jackets paired with khaki pants. The second half of the collection consisted of suits, both two-piece and three-piece. What I love most about this collection is the first half, with the fur coats, sweaters and khaki pants. But let's be real, I'm a sucker for suits as well!!
So my top favorite Fall 2016 menswear collection from NYFW is........Joseph Abboud!!!!
I don't even know where to begin in terms of why I love this collection....it's just that awesome!! I love pretty much everything about it—from the choices in fabrics and patterns to cut and style of the suits, as well as the accessories. I love that the jackets were made from a variety of different fabrics, such as velvet, leather, or tweed. What's also interesting is that accessories such as the briefcases and shoes in the collection are from American companies that were founded in 1887 and 1922, respectively!! Can you say, vintage? To top everything off, the impeccable tailoring of these suits made this collection all the more dapper. Wait.....did I mention how much I love classy, well-tailored suits?
