{INTEGRITY}

For my senior collection course at the University of Delaware, I had to make a collection to be put in my school's fashion show ran by the Synergy club. It was required to choose a word or phrase and develope a collection that communicates the word or phrase. I wanted my collection to be personal, so I decided to make a collection based on the U.S. Air Force Uniforms, due to the fact that my parents met in the Air Force. The word I chose was integrity, one of the important traits of the U.S. Air Force.
Gracing Integrity is a collection resembling the service uniforms of the United States Air Force. Made for patriotic women age 20-40 either entering or are currently in the Air Force, this collection reflects the integrity of the women that are proud to serve this country. Instead of hiding her figure beneath the usually boxy, loose-fitting, masculine uniforms, she is given the opportunity to show off her curves as well as grace the uniform with femininity. Peplums, scoop and v-necklines, and close-fitting silhouettes provide servicewomen a way to maintain a sophisticated and classy look.
{SUSTAINABILITY}
It was a requirement that senior collections be sustainable. My collection is sustainable in the fact that I made my looks using 100% cotton fabrics as well as poplin. I used the insignia from my parent's Air Force uniforms and applied them to some of the garments. The buttons on some of looks are recycled and I acquired them through eBay. Some of my looks have versatility. The peplum of look 1 is detachable, and the skirt of look 2 is reversible (the other side is made of the same fabric as the pants in look 3).
